Pooling Trauma Wards To Save Hundreds Of Lives

Six hundred lives a year would be saved by integrating NSW trauma wards and giving patients more specialised care, doctors said yesterday. With $3.5 million in state government funding, the project aims to pool resources and upgrade computer systems in hospitals in the Illawarra, Central Coast, the Hunter and metropolitan Sydney.
